For more than 30 years, failure analyses and expert reports have been prepared at SKZ (approx. 200 per year), also for courts and insurance companies. The failure analyses are carried out on almost all plastic products. In the expert reports, the cause of the defect is considered as a whole, from the plastic material, the processing, the product design and the environmental influences in the application. If necessary, an on-site assessment can also be carried out. The SKZ expert reports are prepared in accordance with VDI Guideline 3822 "Failure Analysis", in the development of which the SKZ played a significant role. SKZ is actively involved in investigations to determine the root causes of damage cases and cracks, in the provision of comprehensive service life assessments and in damage expertise for projects in the MENA region
